David H Janowitz is the artisan behind the Houston, Texas based Onewood. Most of his products are from trees that he harvested in and around Houston. He uses a local sawmill to cut the logs into useable sizes and then carries the wood to his home built solar kiln for drying. David says it is especially gratifying to go from a tree to a handcrafted finished product. His work includes home goods like cutting boards and rolling pins, bowls and wine bottle stoppers, coasters and holiday ornaments, as well as fine furniture including hope chests, display cabinets and both formal and more rustic live-edge tables.
