Our central focus is the tabletop--dinnerware, glassware, serveware, and table linens--but our collection extends to accents for the home, cookbooks, gourmet goodies, and more. We carry items that help create joyful spaces for spending time with family, friends, and entertaining at home. Whether it’s family suppers in the kitchen, more structured dining room affairs, or backyard BBQs, we focus on all you need to make every occasion memorable. And, recognizing the seasonality of entertaining, we regularly bring in new items to meet our customers’ changing needs.
Shopping at Greentail Table is a no-pressure experience where customers linger over stocked shelves. We’re a frequent meeting spot for friends shopping together, and while there’s nothing we love more than helping customers find exactly what they’re looking for-- or selecting the perfect gift for weddings, housewarmings, birthdays or hostesses--our staff will never, ever be pushy. For those who prefer shopping online, our shop is always open! We’re also mindful that everyone has a different budget for housewares, so we offer products in a range of price points.
Our shop is tucked into the village of Nonantum in Newton, MA, among other small, independent shops and restaurants. Greentail Table is woman-owned and operated. After working as a veteran buyer and retail merchant for over 30 years, founder Linda de Valpine opened Greentail Table in 2014, with the vision of combining her keen sense of style, interest in sustainability, and love of nature in a brick and mortar enterprise. Store merchandise is thoughtfully curated, based on form, function, and timelessness. Most products are handcrafted of natural and sustainable materials, and we carry fair trade merchandise from underdeveloped countries, while also featuring local makers.
