LAMOU Baltic Birch Printed Serving Tray - Atomic Allium on Blue

LAMOU was started by two friends who attended architecture school together and met up years and many chapters later to create printed wood objects for the home. Every baltic birch tray is made by hand and features artwork which is digitally printed directly onto the wood. Since wood is s natural material, each tray will vary slightly.  Each tray is finished with a water-based polyurethane, simply wipe off any excess liquid after use and your tray should last forever. Two sides of the tray feature a depth of 2", while the other two sides have a depth of only 1.25" which allows for easy grasping for carrying the tray.

LAMOU collaborated with artist Nancy Brittain on this stunning "Atomic Allium" original tray. Nancy Brittain spent her childhood in a small town outside Chicago. She began painting and drawing as a child; as an adult she studied block printing and the art of repeat patterns. She attended Mount Holyoke College and Cornell University, eventually becoming an urban planner. Nancy's second career has been a return to her artistic roots and the start of LaRubia Design. Through her surface design business, she offers patterns for sale and licensing to companies for use on their products. Her designs are influenced by the mysteries of the natural world she discovered when young, the decorative arts, and repetitive elements of the built environment.
