Earth Day Craft: Needle Felting with Alex Makes Art
In collaboration with The Doing Circle, as part of their signature monthly gatherings, please join us to celebrate Earth Day with a creative, hands-on craft session at Greentail Table on Thursday, April 23 from 6;30-8:30pm. Artist Alexandra Adamo of Alex Makes Art will guide us through needle felting bright spring colors onto handmade wool dryer balls - transforming an everyday household item into something joyful, practical, and one-of-a-kind.
Together we’ll needle felt bright spring colors onto handmade wool dryer balls created by a sheep farmer here in the United States, transforming an everyday household helper into something joyful, practical, and one-of-a-kind! These reusable dryer balls are a simple way to ditch disposable dryer sheets for good. Keep yours for a more sustainable laundry routine, gift it to someone you love, or add it to our Welcome Home Newton donation drive to help someone settle into a new space with warmth and care.
Craft a little color. Rethink the everyday. Celebrate Earth Day the handmade way.
Please bring a gently used towel (or two!) to donate to Welcome Home.
Tickets are $45 and include:
- Learn the basics of needle felting with Alex's guidance
- Decorate a wool dryer ball made by a U.S. sheep farmer
- Enjoy light refreshments, community crafting, and a little shopping
- Take home a reusable alternative to disposable dryer sheets - or donate yours to our Welcome Home drive
